Connecting with God through adoration is ministering to God’s heart through worship. Worshiping through melodies and songs ushers you deeper into the Lord’s presence. When we lavish love, awe, and affection upon Jesus, we are telling Him, “You are God and You alone are worthy of my worship.” Every thought, every lie, every spirit must go when we are in His presence! Our only focus is to love the Lord and give Him all of the honor, praise, and glory He is due. When you worship, your songs, words, and melodies are aligning with heaven. You are joining in with the chorus of angels in awe of the holiness of God. No one can compare to our God. There is none other worthy of our praise.
The beauty in encountering God daily and connecting with Him through Adoration is the exchange that takes place. You first receive affection from God, and then you pour that affection back out to Him. When we sing of our love to God, He sings it right back to us! Posture your heart to receive as you engage in adoration. We love because He first loved us, so to connect with God through adoration, we must first open our hearts to receive affection from our Father in heaven. Posture your heart, hands, mind, and entire body to receive the love of God.
We believe that as you connect with God through adoration, you will be brought into healing as you exalt the One who is higher than every other thing. There is deliverance in His presence! As you receive love from God, you will be able to pour out your love to Him and worship Him in freedom. If you are struggling with lust, worship the One who is pure (Hebrews 4:15). Fix your eyes on Jesus whose blood cleanses you. If you are struggling with pride, exalt the One who did not expect equality with God to be grasped, but humbled Himself by taking the form of a servant (Phil. 2:5-11). If you are struggling with comparison, exalt the One who gives you your true identity (2 Corinthians 3:18).
Whatever might be attempting to steal your gaze, declare His word over yourself. Receive His overwhelming love for you, so you can lavish your love on Him. Build yourself up in the faith by praying in your heavenly language. Tell every spirit to go and never come back. Then invite the Holy Spirit to come!
